History of Herbal Medicine

Generally speaking, herbal medicine refers to the practices to use part of plant to prevent and treat certain illness and ailments. Various kind of plant has been used for remediation purpose by various native people over the world. Therefore, this practice also called as “folk medicine”.

Western herbal medicine is influenced and was developed by Greek and Roman. In India, there is Ayurvedhic that can be dated back to more 6000 years ago. And what is more: Chinese herbal medicines also have an important role for the development of herbal medicine.

The herbal medicine practices have been developing along with the philosophical and spiritual journey for each native ethnic over the world. During In this development, they used the native plant for treating ailments. The practices of herbal medicine was also usually Based on traditional believe.

In Modern time, the herbal medicine has been developing and supported by intensive research although, in reality, there are still large areas for researcher to reveal the secret of herbal medicine. Many debates arise about the efficacy and affectivity of herbal medicine and others alternative medicines. This situation, of course, is a challenge for everyone who have to the development of remedial and medicine sciences.

I think it is better to bounded up to get the best way than blaming each other. Either using herbal and traditional medicine or using conventional medicine; recovery from health issue is the most important of all.
